In the 1990’s Jack and Mark were trying to get their book "Chicken Soup for the Soul" published and meeting with no success.
They then came up with a rather unusual approach, as an exercise in “asking”, they asked for and collected 20,000 names
and addresses (this was pre-internet days) of people who would be interested in buying their book.
Taking this list to a publisher helped them to get the book published and the rest, as they say, is history.
"Active Enlightenment" ~ A tapestry that is woven from threads of spiritual and personal development along with resonance's from
para-psychology and the various flavours of science.
Creating a foundation of self-empowerment and a unique picture of our inherent ability of
co-creation with practical guidance on how to achieve it.
Following in the footsteps of Jack and Mark, I am asking for your support in getting it published.
Goals
Michelangelo, the guy who painted the glorious Sistine Chapel in order to earn money to do what he really loved, sculpting, said...
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.
Taking this advice, I have raised the bar to the highest level in setting my 3 goals.

Prior to personal development, my main interests were spirituality and para-psychology. Then one day I came across some of Wayne's
work and on flicking through it, the following quote caught my attention...
Since that time and this, Wayne's, constantly evolving, work has been my companion.
In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamans call intent, and absolutely everything that exists
in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.
The quote was from the anthropologist and shaman, Carlos Castaneda, an author whose work I had studied deeply. Hearing it from
a speaker on motivation was the pebble that began the landslide.
The Significance of "Your" Support
As I prepared for this quest several realisations have threaded their way into my life and made
their mark. So much so that this quest has become a celebration of "our" shining spirit.
Let me ask:
- Do you believe that thoughts can affect the world?
The power of intention, cosmic ordering, the law of attraction and prayer all tell us that thoughts have power. By you simply believing in the achievement of my goals adds weight to them becoming reality.
- Do you believe in the power of environment?
On so many quests we are lone heroes, we are the ones who can see the vision, feel the drive and have the dream. Often the
feeling of "aloneness" can be overwhelming.
So this quest is also to create and empowering and enriching environment. As
that master of achievement, Tony Robbins says...
"The quality of your life is a direct reflection of the expectations of your peer group.
Choose your peers wisely."
I am inviting you to be a part of my peer group, your messages of encouragement and guidance will keep me in good company.
Choose your peers wisely."
- Do you believe that there are "six degrees of separation" between any two people?
In The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell, reminded us that there are only six degrees of separation between any
two people on the planet.
Dedication, desire and determination are three D's that go hand in hand with goal achievement. Add to these the mantra Whatever
It Takes then surely one has the main ingredients for success. With this in mind, I have tried to pull out all the
stops in achieving the above goals.
As I said before, I would like your help in using the phenomenon known as six degrees of separation.
The idea is...that someone knows someone who knows someone...who knows Louise Hay.
I have written a letter to Louise and the target is, that when we get to that final "someone", they can print it out and hand it to Louise in person. A crazy idea perhaps, but I'm certain it all adds up in the scheme of things.
Part 2 and 3 of this exercise is, why stop at Louise? Is there anyone out there who can help me get a spot on Oprah or on a tour with Wayne Dyer? Any and all help will be gratefully accepted!
"This" is why your help is so much needed and appreciated.

About Me
I guess it's time that I said a few words about me. My background is spirituality and parapsychology. I have been exploring these
two areas for the past 20 years. Passion, a "desire to learn" and "to figure out the why of things" have
always fuelled my adventures.
Exploration and knowledge in these domains naturally led to sharing my observations with others, through workshops and courses.
It was about 10 years ago that I added an extra dimension to my exploration, that of personal development. Essentially exploring the psychology
of human potential.
Today, my time is devoted to exploring the four fields of science, spirituality, parapsychology and
personal development and bringing back insights into how we can enhance human potential in a practical way.
A path that was only seen as a path in hindsight
Fears
I don't feel it odd that, a speaker (and teacher) of personal development and overcoming fears, has his own to contend with when crossing boundaries into the unknown and out of my comfort-zone territories. As I set off upon this quest, I can feel tinges of fear at the edges of my consciousness. Here they are, standing in line, jostling for the top position in my thoughts...
- Fear of failure
- Fear of success
- Fear of rejection
Fears are learned, courage is created
Kal Malik
As one of my teachers, Susan Jeffers points out, "Feel the fear and Do it anyway". This is advice that I am seriously heeding.
Above, I stated that one of the reasons for setting up this site was to create an empowering environment. I am certain that
this environment will help me create the courage to keep these fears at bay.

Sharing
In my book, Active Enlightenment, I talk about creating a personal and profound meaning of life for oneself.
One of the meanings that my life has for me is a deep love of contribution and sharing. I am always looking
for unique and novel ways of doing this.
So it is, that on this quest I would like to share the works of authors that have inspired me, with you.
Each month there will be a draw and a prize of one of the books will be sent out to the winner.
You will notice that the books from authors that are mentioned herein. So in a small way I am giving something back to
them too.
Full circle
Here we are then...back in the good company of Messieurs Canfield and Hansen and their theory of asking.
Our lives are significant beyond measure. Our thoughts, the environment we create and
the connections we establish, all contribute to the lives of others in truly wondrous ways.
This is me, my name is Kal. I am asking for a connection with the you. It is a simple ask...
Will you stand with me on this quest?
- A simple message of "I'm with you" will be gratefully received
- Any suggestions to further the quest will be met with heartfelt comradeship
- Spreading this message to friends will be considered going beyond the call... and of course, power the six degrees of separation
- And finally, if you know Louise Hay personally, then passing on the letter to Louise Hay to her will be par excellence
